Here I am alive and well, fire in the stove is blazing and I sit with my laptop under a blanky on the couch:) Dwight is still sound asleep. It's 7 am and still dark out with a light dusting of snow!
The little lake at the cabin is frozen over with at least 10" of ice.....it always if frozen over by mid November. Our heritage turkeys are doing well (Ridley Bronze) We have three. I picked up a third...a tom that we named Noel....because he's going to be our Christmas turkey. The other 2, Bonnie and Clyde we are hoping will hatch us a nice clutch in the spring...in the meantime Bonnie is laying eggs. Turkey eggs are large and richer than chicken eggs....my son loves them and when he comes to visit he always like to leave with a dozen of our chicken eggs and a few turkey eggs thrown in. I have been working on a new web site with all my art on it....I have been taken over by the fairies and just want to experiment and do art until something really clicks. We have three bedrooms but I have taken over one of them as my studio. Organizing is still ongoing in the basement...Dwight and I are building a little wine cellar which is almost completed. It really is quite amazing having Dwight cut all the wood and how we just use it up. Dwight has built a lovely 16 by 20 shelter in the back 40 to replace a collapsed car shelter....he's turning into In the meantime we are very much looking forward to Josh and Hannas wedding in New Orleans this coming May....it will be a fine affair! I have a couple in the yurt this weekend
