Wow, what a machine.....it eats everything, very fast and efficient. We had a smoothie this morning, it just pulverizes everything and so fast.
Then I made a hummus...the smoothest hummus ever! Then I tried some homemade mayonaise with 3 of our eggs that I pasturized. I will never buy mayo again! Because I pasturized the eggs, the mayo is supposed to be good for 2-4 weeks in the fridge...not to worry we go through a lot of mayo. To pasturize eggs you put them in water and bring and hold the temp to 140F for 3-5 minutes depending on the size of your eggs.

-30 this morn! This week I'm have 2 orders for mens fur mitts. I had one beaver pelt and made an awesome pair of beaver mitts with buckskin palms and fleece liner....they were extremely warm, then 2 pair of large raccoon mitts with black leather palms. Then I had to give muskrat a try. I have this lovely muskrat coat that is so soft....I like it better than mink. Anyway the mitts turned out fabulously, very soft and very warm, so I may end up keeping them or just make another...they will be my snowmobiling mitts. So with all the varied things I am making it is making the winter pass very quickly. When I finish an item I list it in my Etsy shop. Its early in the morning and myself, 2 dogs and a cat are snuggled right in front of the wood stove. The six chickens at the moment are giving us 6 eggs a day so obviously we have a few dozen to sell here and there. We have five turkeys left, two males yet to be eaten and that would leave us our breeding tri...2 hens and a tom for this spring. All the seed catalogues are in and its time to dream about the gardens. Dwight finished his 50' suspension bridge across the creek to connect another trail...cross at your own risk :) I will be finishing off the log sauna at the cabin this year with my Etsy proceeds...wooohoooo! |
