The turkeys are getting big. I find them so much more personable than chickens.
I got the new chickens and it took them about a week to work out the pecking order with the two older girls...usually it takes about a week.
I have been laid up since Tuesday night with a pinched nerve in my lower back. I was pushing it by lifting out flagstone and redoing it somewhere else as well as digging out sod into a wheelbarrow to bring somewhere else....guess there was too much compression on my spine and I just cant seem to learn not to do that. Now I will just do tiny loads if I can just get myself better. Timing sucks cause we are having our end of summer party at the cabin this weekend. Dwight will have to fill my shoes as well cause Im pretty useless right now. I have basically watched 3 movies in a row flat on my back. Heck, its too warm out now anyway. Yesterday Dwight took me in for my first acupuncture session. Today I was too sore to drive myself in for another session.
Gardens are winding down, flowers are beautiful, had a good summer rental. Getting lots done as well as entertaining.
