Wow

Wow a lot has happened in the last few weeks, we went from winter to summer! The snow is almost gone. We had a very bad year for maple syrup, you see to need freezing nights and we just did not get many but Dwight and I still managed to get in about 2 gallons of maple syrup. We use maple syrup to sweeten a lot of our things now. It is so satisfying to use your own product.

It has been so nice with the hot weather we had in the past week, I actually went into town to do a few groceries and bought some Sangria. I took the afternoon off and was sunning on the deck.....who needs to go somewhere warm!

There is always lots to do in the spring but usually we are not doing the spring cleanup until April so we are ahead of schedule. I had lots to do yesterday but what did I end up doing. I had a creative day and the weather was grand. I wanted to give a try and paint a carpet on the deck. It is turning out really nice but still need to do a lot of detail....will do that next week cause they are threatening rain in the next couple of days and a lot cooler.

The rhubarb is popping up and my lovage is peeking up as well. I noticed the day lilies are about 2" high.
