I got the three big spruce logs from the top of Cardiac hill, well two made it to the sawmill, the third bogged down on the trail so it's there until I can get either the skidder or tractor in. I didn't measure the size but you can see from the pic how big they are. We cut the last two to 9 feet for 2x4x8's and even that small proved impossible for the ATV.
I also managed to get the three logs out from behind the yurt that Mic and I had abandoned. I skinned about 1/4 of the one stuck on the trail, flipped it over and on the hard snow first thing in the morning, out she came. After that was a smaller but longer pine log and then a downed spruce. I cut the spruce at 32 feet, perfect for the 30x16 shed I am building, Just two more like that and I'll have all my poles for the bents and joists.
Combined with the other logs I managed to haul in I now have 21 logs ready at the sawmill. Tonight I'll go out and do a count to see exactly what I have and what I need. I still have 3-4 logs available from the three trunk pine down at the trailhead which I'll pull out with the tractor probably next weekend.
