It cut easy and dropped, dropped, dropped, damm, just on the wrong side between a tree and a large stump. I cut 21 feet off and winched it over onto the skidway and then onto the path and then to the swamill, but the second piece was just too jammed in for the ATV to pull out. Sid, why aren't you running when I need you. Oh well, at least one more piece.
Next on the chopping block so to speak was a large dead pine just a bit up the hill from the split pine. Although dead it still had branches and I had a hunch the wood was still good. It looked like if I dropped it just so it would land at the path for an easy pull out.
