Baby Fairy in Nest

This lovely baby fairy is sharing a nest with eggs and being keep safe and warm by a little birdie. It is about 2 1/2" long. The eggs and baby are both made of polymer clay. The nest is handmade with bits and pieces. $65

Do you not think it would be worthwhile to include the price of your sculptures with the photo of the sculpture. I suppose if I were really interested I could inquire but just a thought.

I viewed your art yesterday at the art fair in Ottawa. Very lovely. I've kept your card and will keep it on my fridge. I am sure that I will probably buy an item or two down the road a piece.

Do you mail the art or do folks drive out to pick it up.

Thank you Erv, I have just put the prices up. The Art Show was the first place and time I had offered them up for sale. If someone was interested they could always give me a call and come by or I could mail it. My husband works in Ottawa and could always pick up from his work downtown. Glad you enjoyed the show :)

My husband Dwight Yachuk and I live in a most beautiful 200 acre forest situated between two small lakes that are connecting by a lovely little stream.

I have always been involved in the arts and crafts from a young age taking a few workshops along the way. Painting, carving song birds from wood, rustic furniture, renovating, stained glass, farrier, carpentry are amongst the numerous other things I have done.

As a young girl I would go off into the forest on my own with my imagination....what fun I would have!
In the fall of 2012 I came across some wonderful fairies sculpted by Candice Cinque....they were fascinating to me as are the drawings of Brian Froud. They have fuelled the fire to create my own woodland fairy sculptures and whatever else along the way.

Then I discovered wire art...amazing works out there....then there's air dried clay...there is so much to explore in the sculpting world...

I ordered a few more books, got my supplies in order, set up my studio and the sculpting begins That lasted the winter, then it was fur and now leather.
