I got this idea when I was doing my dancing stick fairy....there is so much joy in her that I wanted to do a fairy circle with 5 fairies....all my friends...dancing around a fire....with the polymer clay it would be a task. I made the armatures, blocked them in with foil (I would do this first before I covered with, then ended up taking off the foil and sculpting with the air dry clay....if it does not work I can always cover them over with polymer clay.
While in the store I saw some air dry clay (there are a few different kinds to try) so I gave that a whirl....what a joy to work with...the results were silky smooth and dainty....however it was cracking a lot...easy enough to fix but labor intensive.....keep posted on how things turn out
