Here we go, what you have all been waiting for but mostly Josh this is for you! I always said I would write a cook book with his favourite recipes and ....well maybe this will be it? My son loves my cooking but then he is not the only one. My husband Dwight thinks I'm the bestest! So I will include all of my fav's.....so do check back once in a while.
I cook in a very relaxed matter, the more you cook, the better you get, that goes with everything. There is no right or wrong way so long as it tastes great and you have fun.
I have been cooking since I was 11 years old. My parents immigrated from Holland after the war in 1954 and had 6 children in Canada.
I will include lots of little notes and tips that I have picked up. I get new ideas from recipes, friends and just playing with things and always adapt them or make them easier. Enjoy.... as I slowly add all of the things I have cooked, baked or enjoyed from friends and pass it along. I will try to add lots of pics and videos of some of the recipes.
The reason this will be a slow process is that I usually don't measure things out, a bit of this and a bit of that and now when I make something I need to measure all those bits and pieces.
Butter, butter, butter, I use lots, I think that is the secret:-)
