What a wonderful experience this has been for us. The best escape. Avery romantic weekend. We thank you for letting us stay at Lonewolf. We enjoyed soaking in the tub under the stars, snowshoeing all (almost?!) the trails, touring the lake, cooking sausages on a fire outside, reading, relaxing, food, wine, peace and quiet about all!!
Merci Beaucoup

Lucy, Thank you fso much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us! It was the most amazing Christmas that we've ever had. We loved everything about this place....the stars, trees, snow, quietness throughout days and nights and even wolf howling(!)
Now we can't even remember what our house looked like! Thanks again for this amazing experience.

Dear Lucy,
Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of paradise with us! We couldnt imagine a more perfect place for a honeymoon! It's so wonderful to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature and with each other. The only tough decision was chooing from among the hot tub, the canoe, the hammmockand the cozy fire (and cuddling!!) We will forever treasure our memories of our time here, and very much look forward to one day returning. (and using the sauna)

Lucy, Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us. We enjoyed our long weekend very much! I think our dog will sleep for a week straight as he spent every waking moment we were here hunting for frogs and trying to catch fish :) A particularly large frog owes his life to barney as he was caught by a snake and then set free when Barney jumped on the snake. Entertainment!!:)
Thanks again, M&J

We cannot believe our luck at finding this incredible hidden treasure! Spending our days enjoying the sunshine and playing with the chipmunks was more than we could have asked for. Tranquil evening by the campfire gave us time to connect on an even deeper level. Your innovative off the grid living space is inspiring and has given rise to many new ideas for our homelife. Thank you so much for sharing this paradise with us!

Lucy!
Third annual March break spent at the lone wolf cabin and nothing about this place gets old.
A calming and grounding week away from Toronto was just what the doctor ordered. An added adventure this year...crazy carpeting down the snowmobile trail behind the cabin! (note to future sledders...mind the trees...ouch!)
Hobbling out with big grins on our faces.

P.S. We can't wait to enjoy it in the wintertime too!

Dear Lucy
What a magical and peaceful place! The complete opposite from our hectic Amsterdam life (of course all the wooden clogs made us feel at home :) We had our own little luxurious "Into the Wild " experience here,

We got married 4 days ago and this was the perfect honeymoon spot. We watched the rain fall with a warm fire on. Watched the stars from the hot tub and took a trek up the mica trail. It was all amazing. We plan to come back every year.
Thank you for making such a good spot.

We had a beautiful relaxing 4 days of peace, rest and tranquility. What a lovely spot. The water, the woods, and the weather dynamics of spring kept us interested and entertained. The tub, the wood heat warmth, and the loft soothed our spirits and bodies.
May all who come after find the same peace we did.

Can you relate to the need to escape? Try this: drive 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa to find Lucy who will lead you to isolation.
This is our third winter visit to the property. Lucy is warm, friendly and most engaging and can be counted on to welcome you as old friends whether your arrival is less then conventional (we were first introduced by our dog sled guide for an overnight in the yurt) or by car (which contained an over exuberance of food and wine). The adventure of arrival continues as Lone Wolf requires boat, skidoo or golf cart access but once escorted there, you know it's yours to enjoy.
Moments later after the initiation tour and Lucy's departure, silence surrounds us and we are left truly self-sufficient, off-grid and back to nature - the propane stove, fireplace, candles, outhouse, fire pit and soaking tub make the experience memorable as all one need do is eat, drink, soak, meditate, read, hike, reconnect and fall in love again. Why must it end?
... Winston and Theo help the transition back to reality as they bound toward you allowing Lone Wolf memories to gently fade yet somehow remain permanently imprinted requiring a repeat visit. How many hideaways can offer all this plus the creative talents of a fabulously accommodating host?
